I downloaded 1.6 and tried to install, I received a message that I "can't downgrade". I have V 1.5 installed on my camera and have Windows 11 on my laptop. Any suggestions?

If the camera thinks you are trying to downgrade verify that the correct .fir file was placed on the card.

Unfortunately, I confirmed that already. Based on some of the other issues reported with 1.6, I think I will leave it alone for a while.

I'm not a tech, but I have a couple of questions:
Have you tried updating the firmware using the Canon Camera Connect app?
Are you using a clean (newly formatted) card?
If not, can you try again using a clean card and/or the Camera Connect app?
Let us know how it goes!

I will try a clean card in the future to see if that helps. For now, I'm not going to install because of the issues a few others have had.
