Hi there! I have a canon EOS R6. I accidentally got to this screen and quickly got out of it because I didn’t want to mess up my settings. However, I’m wondering what it means by protect images. Should I have that enabled? I have a photo session tomorrow and don’t want to mess my settings up.

Your camera has the ability to "Protect" images, which means they cannot be erased. Has nothing to do with any other settings.
Have you looked at the online manual for this sophisticated camera? Page 468 will tell you about Protecting images, and what you pressed to get this screen. It's a Menu setting.
