Hi! I recently bought a Canon EOS R6 mark II and was super excited! Today I went outside to do a photoshoot. The result is terrible, the focus is not sharp at all. Im using an EF-R adapter marked Canon and a Canon 24-70 2.8 USM, i have also tried with different lenses and cleaned the glass of the lenses. I have not missed focus since the focus point is viewed where i want it to be (at the persons face). Settings were 1/250, f/ 2.8 iso 100.
Anyone know what the issue could be? I spent my life savings on this camera :'(

One of the responses in your thread mentioned IS as the possible culprit if used on a tripod, even if you had IS it wouldn't be!

If you are using the electronic shutter for H+ continuous shooting, then I would recommend switching back to the default shutter mode for a couple of significant reasons.
First, just because the shutter may fire in H+ drive mode will the electronic shutter does not necessarily mean that the camera was able to lock focus on the subject. The adapted Canon EF mount lenses wete designed for camera bodies capable of frame rates as high as 10-15 fps, not 30-40 fps. This is true of mostly the Mark II L series lenses.
Second, if you’re going to be frequently shooting indoors under artificial lighting, then the light flicker compensation setting will be disabled when using the electronic shutter.
I use the default shutter mode almost exclusively with the R6ii for this exact reason.
I am uncertain about whether or not Spot AF focus mode can focus anywhere except for the Center AF point. Even if you enable Whole Area Tracking, the camera may only use the Center AF point regardless when Spot AF is selected.
A common misconception is that Spot AF will focus more accurately than 1-pt AF. Spot AF simply looks at a much smaller area to lock focus. The only scenario when I use it is for macro photography using a tripod.
