Hi kwrichard77,

To assist you with this issue we will need to know what flashes you are trying to use with the camera. The functions available can vary depending on the flash that is being used. We will also need to know which flash functions you are trying to use

If you want to check the manual for information on the flash functions they are on pages 211-231. If you need a copy of the manual it is available HERE.

westcott flash system. FJ400, 200, 80.  trying to use HSS.  Works on R6 but not R6MKII

kwrichard77,

Your R6 mkII has a multi-function shoe.  The following might be helpful for reference.

Multi-Function Shoe Adapter AD-E1 (canon.com)

3rd party gear may not be compatible. We will await your reply.

What kind of flash system are you using. Canon's speedlites or a 3rd party flash system. Canon's older speedlites released prior to 2008 (220EX, 380EX, 420EX, 550EX, 430EX and 580EX) CAN NOT be controlled from the camera menu. All settings must be changed on the speedlite unit itself except flash exposure compensation. Speedlites released in 2008 (430EX II, 580EX II) and later can be controlled by the camera menu.

Westcott flash system.  I'm working with westcott support

Your flash unit or system may need a firmware update to work correctly on your new camera.

Good!

This is a question for Westcott, not Canon.

Just curious if you ever got your R6II to work with the FJ400?
