EOS R6 II won’t switch to Manual mode

My R6 Mark II won't switch to Manual Mode internally, even though the dial is set to M (the screen says P mode). Has anyone ever had this problem? These other modes work fine (P, FV, C1P, B, A+ & A (Hybrid Auto). I've barely had this camera for a month.

This sounds like a camera mode dial fault - it probably needs to be looked at by Canon service.

Did you ever find a solution? After 5 months my R6 M2 decided to do the same thing. It just happened as I finally got the 50mmL I've been saving for. It's really frustrating. None of my modes work. It just says P. I shoot in manual. The modes flash on my screen randomly, it's a mess. Since it's the holiday weekend no support is available as of now. It seems like a common problem, but nobody posts solutions besides sending it in for repair. If its an easy fix I'd be open to try it.
