EOS R5 won't trigger Neewer ML300 flash via transmitter

I have a canon r5 and bought a Neewer ml300 led battery operated speed light and transmitter. The light works and they are on the same channel and when I take a picture it doesn’t flash? What camera settings do I need to be on for this to connect?

Greetings,

I am not a flash expert.  I don't believe you get flash setting options with non-canon flashes or wireless controllers.  We have a couple of community members that might be able to help.  I'll reach out to them.

With non Canon transmitters and speedlites some may or may not be compatible with the in camera flash menu system. But compatibility is always a question.

Make sure that flash firing is enabled in the menu.

Never Neewer flash gear.  The forum has numerous posts about Neweer gear not being compatible with the Canon E-TTL system.
