EOS R5 won't let me start firmware update

Good morning. I opened my camera connect app and it stated that firmware for my Canon R5 was available. I formatted my SD Card and put the FIR file on it. When putting it in the camera and clicking on Firmware update. It shows to update it but then it transfers back to viewing mode and it won't allow me to hit SET to make it start the updating process. It is in P, card has been formatted, just wondering why it will go back to viewing mode.

Greetings,

Please confirm the following. You have the R5 not the R5 mkII?

What firmware version does your camera have now?

What version are you trying to upgrade to?

I'm not sure what "viewing mode" is?  Maybe you're referring to live view.

If you have a CF Express B card in the camera, remove it temporarily while performing the firmware upgrade from the SD card.
