EOS R5 mode dial stuck on Fv

My Canon R5 Mode dial is stuck on FV. I have reset all previously set functions, and replaced the battery with a fully charged one. No change.

Any one else has had issues with the Mode dial?

Greetings,

The first thing I would do is a full camera reset,  main and custom settings.  If you have a large number of customized settings, you can make a backup to an SD card before the resets.

If this doesn't help, this could be a build up of skin oils, moisture, dirt, grit or other foreign debris.  It could also be a hardware issue / button failure.

Grab a few old business cards and be very gentle. See if you can work the corners gently around the crevices of the button and dial.  You can follow with a rocket blower.

If none of this helps, you'll need to contact Canon support to have the camera inspected.

I have the same problem. This happend after I left my camera ON until the battery was fully discharged.
When I push the Mode button I only see the Touch screen icon and the Quick menu icon on the touch screen flashing on and off. All other modes are not accessible anymore. I want to have the option to exit the Fv mode, so if anyone has an answer about how to fix this issue, I would be verry grateful.

On my R5 I found the solution: Go into the menu and select the camera symbol with the bracketing lines below it. This is the one last menu just before the star symbol.
In menu section 3 you will find the option "button assignment" (or something equal to that, but because I have a Dutch menu I don't knnow the exact text)
When you select this option, you can change the function back to MODE.
Anyway, my problem is solved by doing so.

Hopefully this is an answer that might help you.
Succes!
