I recently did a photo shoot with my grand kids. I am shooting with the r5 mark 2 & 24-105 but seems a little blurry to me . Please help

Yes you are correct. But, I agree with Brian, though. The posted sample is not the best to judge sharpness. But, it seems like it could be uniformly out of focus. Also, the main job of IS is to stabilize the image for the AF system.
I would be inclined not to use Subject Eye AF for a group shot. Single point AF seems best.
