EOS R5 Mark II Live View while using Capture One; Live View zoom resets

1. When I turn on live view in capture one, the screen on my camera goes dark and the buttons stop working (it says “busy”). And I found only one way to turn it on - switch to video mode and back. The option is working, but it’s so unobvious that it feels like there must be some normal way) Have somebody encountered this?

2. When live view is enabled in capture one, the zoom on the camera display does not work. When pressed, it resets immediately. Only zoom works through the live view window in c1. Does anyone know if this can be fixed?

hi there, i have same problem, did you solve this ? how did you solve ? thank you

Essentially when tethering to Capture One either via USB or Wifi, if you turn on Capture One's Live View window you can no longer monitor your image through your camera nor can you operate your camera. Only after closing C1's Live View window and opening the menu on the R5ii can you return to normal operation on your camera.

I just tried @sk22's method of switching to video with the live view panel open and that works, but I feel like that shouldn't be how you have to fix it.

This has been an issue on other Canon's too, it happens on my friends 5Diii as well.

Pretty frustrating issue when you're trying to move quickly in the studio and you have stylists that need to see the live view but you want to take a quick test photo as well.

Have the same exact isuue. C1 16.5.1. Mac Os Version 15.1.1 (24B91)

R52 1.0.1

Same on thethered and over wifi.

Updated R52 1.0.1 to 1.0.2 no change...

just saw the fix to toggle to video and back. That resolves the issue...

I'll have to try that next time too! I have an r6 Mark ii and this has come up on me also. Other things that have worked for me are freshly formatted cards. There's something going on where the CaptureOne retether is trying to go through all the files to see if they're already in your session.
