EOS R5 MARK II 1/32000 limitation

Since the R5 Mark II is still a new camera and we're all learning about it, I thought this might be informative to others with my same situation because it took me considerable time to find the solution. If you want to shoot faster than 1/8000, you have to be in TV or M modes (yes, that's logical). I like to shoot in FV mode so was puzzled as to why I couldn't set the speed faster than 1/8000. And of course, you have to use Electronic Shutter. I'm including a screen shot from the Advanced User Manual/Specifications section with additional shutter information.

It almost seems like the camera is unable to automatically set shutter speeds faster than a certain limit, 1/8000.

Greetings,

This was discussed in another thread recently.  The excerpt I quoted applies to still or video.

You can set the shutter speed range for each [Shutter mode]

In [P] or [Av] mode, or in [Fv] mode with shutter speed set to [AUTO], the shutter speed is set automatically within your specified range (except for movie recording). Select [OK] to register the setting.
