EOS R5 II - Custom Modes Hack

Eport

Based on the premise, C1-C3 in stills and movie mode have different save banks, could we effectively make movie mode's C1-C3 effectively C4-C6 for stills mode? Like custom mapping the buttons back into behaving like stills mode?

I would like to have more than 3 banks of presets for photography and have no need for video presets.

You can shoot still images with the EOS R5 Mark II when it is in video mode, if you enable dual recording. In this setup the camera can record a video and while that happens you can press the shutter to take a still image. There are a number of caveats; still images will be JPG, and saved to the SD card. The resolution of the stills will be 16:9 ratio 7680×4320 pixels. Movies will be FullHD only.

Unfortunately there is no way to simply allocate those three movie custom modes to be additional still custom modes.
