My Display screen is not working on my R5. I have tried changing the setting to have it view as auto screen, and even screen only. When I go to turn the camera on I do get a notification to take the lease cap off, but I get nothing else but a black screen. Please Help.

There is a sensor below the viewfinder, is it dirty, smudged, or blocked by something?

Yes, it is cleaned and not blocked by anything.

Does the viewfinder work? Try selecting screen from the menu below and see if the screen works.

Hello, sydneymaw!
Have you tried pressing the INFO button to cycle through the various LCD displays? One of them is blank.
Sorry if this is a simplistic question, but you didn't expand on the trouble shooting you have tried.

Outstanding, Cyndi! Sometimes it's the simple things that get overlooked 🙂
