Hi, I've been combing my manuals, etc. and trying to figure out why when I press the shutter half-way in automatic mode and then all the way down it takes seconds to take the picture and then it takes two (with two distinct clicks). Does anyone know why?
Thanks!

It was set as a timer! Thank you.

I'm not sure, but when I try to erase a picture it asks me if I want to erase the Raw one or the JPG one.

I accidentally set the timer so it takes pictures very fast now. Thanks for your reply!

Check the setting for image quality. In case it is on RAW + JPEG there will be two files made.

Two images will be recorded but the camera will only fire once. The OP had his camera firing twice. It was a self timer setting.
