I have an EOS R-10 I bought in 2024. Everything was working beautifully until I updated to firmware 1.7.0. When I turned the camera back on I was asked for the irritating password. however, none of the buttons work to actually take photos or video. Neither the hardware nor software buttons work! I can use the LCD screen to change settings just fine, but I cannot record video or take stills. I am using a Sabrent SD XCII V60 memory card that I low-leveled after the install. Am I missing something here? Should I go back to Firmware 1.6? If so, where can I find it? I am in the middle of a documentary and to have a camera go down is extremely disappointing.

Greetings,
Camera menu.
Look for custom functions, tab 4. Release shutter without lens attached. Your camera should start working with the artisan lens after this.

Thanks for teh reply. After further experimentation, the camera works fine with a Canon autofocus lens. However, when I use my 7 Artisans lens and switch to manual focus mode, the recording buttons don't work. What am I missing. This did not happen with the prior firmware.
