So being wedding and event photographer gets frustraing when my R3 decides to stop focusing after a while or won't even snap the photo at all-firmware is up to date. Best focusing setting some like? Maybe thats it for me who knows

Please describe how to reproduce this issue. What lens. What camera settings. What shooting conditions. Etc.

Using Canon Lens 24-105 2.8, my fav btw, and shootiing in P. So when shooting hundreds of pics, it seems as the evening is progressing its not lliking trying to keep up

It is beginning to sound like you could be running out of light as it gets dark. But, we still need some more details to reproduce this issue.
What AF point mode are you using? Which AF mode, Servo or One Shot? Are you capturing bursts?
What is your subject? What are your exposure settings? Can you post a sample image for us to look at?

Don’t have an image to show because it wouldn’t shoot but I changed my AF point now and see if that will fix it. Ty
