Thanks for the clarification! And it's okay to show off photos without it being a brag at all. We have a section dedicated just to that, so I just wanted to know whether to move your post there or keep it here for advice. You're good to go!

ctitanic,
Thank you for the suggestion. I have the Sigma 50mm ART lens. I will give it a try. The camera is a R10 which is a crop which means the 50mm would be a 80mm.

kvbarkley,
Thank you for mentioning that mode. I believe the R10 has something similar. I will give it a try. Been using the FV mode and wanted to try the shutter priority and then manual in this low light situation.

Danny,
I would prefer that the thread stay in this section. Hopefully, there will be additional comments and suggestions.
Thank You,

kvbarkley,
Have you used the "handheld night scene"? Happy with the results? Thank you.

Yes, I have, and I am. Though I often forget about it until the next day.

Oh, and that page is from the R10 manual, so yes, the R10 has it. 8^)
Since I would guess the lights on your house are still there, you should be able to try it and compare.

Looks to me like HDR Mode in other cameras. I wonder what is the level of noise in the image.

kvbarkley,
Thank you for follow up information. Lights are permanent. Will try to use "Handheld Night Time Mode" in the next couple of nights. Will turn the lights on in a couple of weeks for Thanksgiving.
