Hello, I am coming from DSLR; so my viewfinder almost never goes dark under most shooting conditions. On EOS R, between shots the viewfinder is intermittently going dark. When I the shutter button is half-pressed and I am taking additional pictures, it is not visible. But whenever I release shutter completely and take another picture, between these two shots the VF goes blank/dark. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this?
I am shooting on AV/One Shot Servo/Single shot drive mode, on a moderately bright day.

I do not understand what you mean. When you used the OVF on a DSLR it will always go dark for moment when the mirror is lifted to fire the shutter.
Even during Live View shooting with a DSLR, you will get a momentary “blackout” when the mechanical shutter is fired. This latter case could be what you are seeing with the MILC body.
