EOS M50 wifi not working

WoodenIdea

Hi

We have an EOS M50 camera that has previously provided full functionality; however, although the Bluetooth pairing works properly, the camera now states ‘waiting to connect’ when we link the phone to its internal wifi (the phone also states ‘no internet connection’).  This is preventing viewing on or transferring photos to a smart device.

We have tried the potential solutions we’ve found on here and elsewhere including attempting to connect directly through wifi, forgetting the Bluetooth and wifi links on the smart device, toggling and resetting the wifi on the camera itself, deleting and reinstalling the Canon Connect app, etc.

This is very stressful and severely limits the functionality of the camera - does anyone have a full and permanent solution to this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Try using the “Wireless Help” link on the product support page.

Thanks, unfortunately we have tried all the steps in here and the connection has previously worked with no issues.

Are you still trying to connect to the same hotspot or device as when it worked previously?  A change of device means you need to create a define a new connection.

Try deleting any existing / saved Wi-Fi configurations in the camera.
