EOS M50 Mark II Touch Screen not working

tarikhadzalic

Hello everyone,

I have an issue where my Canon M50 Mark II's touch screen randomly stops working. It happens when sometimes when I turn on my camera again after being used soon before turning it back on again, or even when I take photos it stops working. Only way that I'm fixing it at the moment is when I turn it off and wait for the camera to "cool off" and it starts working again. This is happening quite a lot.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings,

A couple of questions:

Are you using  a Canon brand battery?

 Is the battery getting hot?

Is your camera overheating (feels hot to the touch) or is "cool off" just the term you are using to describe turning off the camera and waiting a few minutes before turning it on and using it again?

Start by resetting the camera's main and custom settings to defaults.  Both must be performed.  See below for instructions.  SetUp > Resetting the camera

Canon : Product Manual : EOS M50 Mark II : Resetting the Camera (start.canon)

Let us know if this helps with your issue.

Hello there,

1. I am using a Canon battery and some knock off battery as well.

2. The battery is not getting hot

3. The term "cool off" is just a term I use but at the same time the touch screen stop working after I was taking pictures, so it actually could be heating up a little bit, but nothing noticable.

4. I've have just reset the camera settings and hoping it will work now.

Thanks in advance

Well,

It happened right after I have resetted my camera. Took a few photos, turned the camera off and turned it on right after and the touch screen is not working. Quite the same as it was.

Kind regards.
