EOS M5 Switching Display Language from Japanese to English

I purchased an EOS M5 in Japan.  The dial and all the content on the camera are in Japanese, is there a way to convert it to English?

The two third-party software I know about don't support M5. M5 is based on Powershot firmware so it acts different.

the instructions for changing the display language can be found on page 23 of the user guide.

Page 23.  It should be possible to follow the steps even if the camera is in Japanese.
