I am currently used my Canon Kiss X7i/700D, but i have a problem with the camera. As I press the shutter halfway, the autofocus motor runs continuously even when set the focus to MF, and it's hard for me to take a picture. Is it happening because of the lens or the body? actually I have not do it with another lens because I do not have any lens beside this 18-55mm kit
Thanks in advance

It could be hearing the IS, Image Stabilization.

If the 18-55mm lens you have is a lens with Image Stabiliser, then it's almost certainly the image stabiliser you can hear. Also on the side of your lens you will find a switch that will turn the IS on/off, set it to OFF and the noise should stop.

But, my IS was set to off and I still hear the noise. Is it possible to knock off the IS by disassembling my lens?
