EOS 90D: What's this port for?

Canon EOS 90d question.

Quite simply, what are these ports for- particularly the one on the right.

I've had no need for a digital terminal to date, so that probably explains why I havent used it!  I was looking/wondering if there was a port for charging the battery insitu. But there doesnt seem to be one. I'm just settling off into Europe for a few days and trying to keep the weight down.

Standard USB (before USB-C) did not supply enough power to have the voltage doubled and still have enough current for the battery. You will need an external charger.
