EOS 800D Won't Show Image on LCD Screen with XT-16 Transmitter

Can anyone help !! I'm having some issues after connecting the transmitter with Canon 800D, the issue is I cannot take photos using the LCD screen, even if i press the screen the photos are not being captured. however I can capture photos using the eye-place view..any solution ??

What happens if you use the shutter button, instead of tapping the screen?
