EOS 6D Mark II- LCD not displaying?

Hi all!! I recently got a killer deal on a 6D mark ii, due to a mechanical error 20. I disassembled the camera all the way down and replaced the faulty screw rod, and I succeeded! It takes beautiful pictures, but a new issue has appeared - the main display shows absolutely nothing. I have tried pressing 'info' many times, but the backlight never even comes on. I don't recall ever even checking if the screen worked in the first place - I always kept it facing the body so it wouldn't get scratched. Is this a common issue? What are some common failure points for these screens? I did accidentally damage a ribbon cable (the wide yellow one that goes from the bottom board to the  mainboard), but it doesn't seem to go to the display. What else could I have damaged?

Greetings,

Since I owned this camera for over 5 yrs, I want to be excited for you, but the "killer deal" part is not resonating with me.  My advice is never by a broken camera or lens.  I purchased the 6D2 because of its articulating screen.  It's was similar to my T6s, just better.

You go on to mention accidentally damaging (or possibly) damaging something internal.  Trying to figure out an issue like this without diagnostic equipment is nearly impossible.. you can start replacing items but in the end, a working camera would have been a better purchase.

Sorry I cannot be more more optimistic.  We hear these stories frequently.  Sometimes they have a happy ending, more often, they don't.  So I hope you figure it out.
