Hello There,
I have an EOS 5D Mark III that I have not used in many years. I found that there is a CF slot and a Standard SD slot. However, when I tried to transfer my footage to my laptop, only the SD had some recordings. I could not get the CF card to connect. Can I just run my camera, while filming footage, with just a Standard SD card and no CF?
Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forum:
The 5DIII will not record video to both cards at the same time. If you are shooting with the SD card currently, then that is perfectly fine, you just can't record to the CF card. If it is helpful, you can download the 5DIII manual from THIS LINK I hope this will be helpful!
