EOS 200D MARK II says every SD card is lock

Hey folks,

I've been using the Canon EOS 200D mark II, and suddenly my camera keeps saying that the SD card is locked, even though I’ve unlocked it. I tried buying a new SD card, but it still says it's locked. Can I ask what possible solutions I should try?

Try using a rocket blower or ear syringe to blow out the slot after removing the SD card. (Do not use compressed air). Something may be jamming the switch. Other possible problem could be that the switch failed.

The actual locking switch is down in one of the tracks the SD card slides into. It's a small thing. The slider on the SD card presses it when it is on "Lock". Perhaps it is stuck down so it will always say the card is locked.

Slide a thin strip of cardstock down the track gently to see if a stuck switch can be jarred free.  If you can't get it to work.

Blowing on it hard with a rubber bulb with a pointed nozzle may unstick it.

If you can't get it working, the camera needs Canon servicing.
