EOS 1v on Manual EF lens?

SethShifflet

Hello!

I'm looking at getting a Canon 1v 35mm camera, and I have a couple of EF lenses, but they are fully manual with no electrical contacts. I've heard that the 1v has issues when it can't find the electrical contacts so I'm just worried that my lenses might not work on the 1v.

For reference, the lenses I use are the Zhongyi Speedmaster 50mm f/0.95, and the NONS 35mm f/2.4.

Thanks in advance for any help!

It looks like none of the members have any recent experience with film cameras. I have the EOS 1V as well. After some research I found a video posted by very well known YT contributor Christopher Frost. Follow the link to his video. This lens at the time Frost published the video four years ago retails for $800.
