EOS 1V Service Contact?

Hello all,

To begin with, I’m having issues with the shutter in my EOS 1V. I am aware that Canon USA no longer services the 1V, however Canon Japan is still offering support. I’ve dug around the Canon Japan website but haven’t been able to find a way to contact them and get the camera serviced. Does anybody have an email (preferable) or phone number for their service / repair team?

You are going to be out of warranty any way so why send it all the way to Japan? There are US camera repair facilities that can possibly handle your repair. Give Midwest Camera Repair a call. The problem is parts. So if Canon USA can't get parts I doubt Japan will have much more or any in that area either. Same will be true with Midwest or any camera repair shop.
