Display of Battery % with LP-E6NH on R5 MK2

Good day there.

Anyone knows how to enable the display of battery % on the R5MK2 when using the LP-E6NH? The camera don't have an issue with displaying the battery % when using the new LP-E6P. But when an LP-E6NH was used, the the battery % was not available and the Info icon was greyed out and the registration of the battery into the camera is not possible.

I don't have any issue with the R7, but it is not available on the R5MK2. BTW, the battery that is having problem is a Canon original.

Thanks in advance.

Jason

This is the behaviour of the EOS R5 Mark II with older non LP-E6P batteries.

The manual mentions it here https://cam.start.canon/en/C017/manual/html/UG-07_Set-up_0320.html

Make sure to expand the Caution note under the first section, it says…

  • Remaining capacity display in 1% increments is not shown with Battery Pack LP-E6NH/LP-E6N or Battery Grip BG-R10 attached. Moreover, these batteries cannot be registered.
