Canon R3. Can anyone please tell me how to totally disable the two smart controllers on the rear of the body? I can't shoot anything while tromping around outdoors without rubbing against them and changing settings I don't intent to. I see where I can assign them different tasks but not how to completely disable them. Thanks

To supplement Johns post, here is a short Video by Rudy Winston, from Canon, on the smart controller and how to use, enhance, or disable it. If you want to jump right to "disable", scrub to the 2:20 minute mark.

For the 1D X Mark III it's C.Fn-7
Check C. Fn section for the R3.

The [LOCK] functionality could be an alternative option.
