Corrupt .CR2 Files from Canon 5D Mark IV

The images above are from my current import of .CR2 files into LR. This has been happening EVERY TIME lately. I've formatted the card in the camera and re-formatted plus changed cards and it is happening every time.

If I open with Lightroom or Microsoft Photos, the file opens "normally" for 1-2 seconds with no distortion and then it resolves to a distorted image. See the image belo. Thank you for the helpRAW File Issue.jpg

I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark IV.

The undistorted image means that the jpeg preview is OK. Try a new full size card. If that does not solve it, it needs repair.

Can you view them in the camera?

I used to shoot with an EOS 5D Mark IV, but sold it some years ago when I got the EOS R6. However I have seen similar corruption type effects in the past. One thing I did find was that the images still opened correctly in Canon DPP software, and in that case I would often make a full 16-bit TIFF image in DPP and then add that back to Lightroom.
