Hi,

I own a canon 60D and the standard kit lens and the 50mm 1.8. I now have to buy a film camera for a class and i wanted to know if, if i go for one of the canon rebel film cameras, the lenses will fit.

Thank you for your help everyone

Yes, Hannah, it will fit. The 50mm f/1.8 was initially released for the film EOS cameras.

Any lens that is identified as "EF" will fit film and digital EOS SLR cameras.

Tghank you so much! and my professor has the following requirements for our camera

Fully Manual Film Camera, SLR (single lens reflex),

adjustable aperture, shutter speed, and ISO settings

, manual focus ring,

zoom or prime lens OK

Do ypu have any advise on what to get? I have zero experience with film cameras and i dont want to buy somethingthat i wont enjoy working with!

Thans

I am assuming he means fully manual capability; in other words it would be OK if the camera has an AUTO mode as long as it can be also used fully manual.

Look for a used film Rebel if you want to use your existing lens. There were many different models. I will send you a private message.
