Can someone comment on the compatibility of the new 70D with the GPS receiver GP-E2? Does it need a cable for interfacing, or does it directly through the hot shoe??
I own the GP-E2, but I have a 5D III - not a 70D. But according to the docs, only the 7D (which is a fairly old camera model) requires the USB cable -- everything else can communicate via the hot-shoe.
