I am a Real Estate Broker - How can I get clearer interior pictures. I have an external flash and have tried a tripod. I hae a Canon Rebel and shot with the stock wide angle lens that came with the camera. Thanks... Bill

Can you post a sample of what you consider an "unclear" picture? Identify what you consider to be the problem so we can give the best advice.

I was hoping I was doing something wrong and it would not involve buying an expensive lense. If that is the case, I guess I will just stick with using a professional photographer.

We won't be able to give you advise until we see the photos.
But, even if we assume, for the sake of discussion, it is the lens. A lens is a one-time purchase. Hiring someone is a repetitive process. You would need to determine the break-even point.
I don't know what you are planning to do with the photos, but the RE photos I see on Facebook, in the monthly RE publication and realtor websites are small. I would think you would need a severe lens problem to detect a problem.

As JH opined, it is difficult to advise until we see what is not acceptable. I would make a few suggestions. One is ditch the flash. It is causing more issues that needs to be dealt with. You have a tripod so adjust the exposure to accommodate. You can use the self timers so you don't touch the camera while it takes the shot. First and foremost make sure you adjust the camera so vertical lines in the rooms are straight. Again you have a tripod so easy to do.
I also agree with JH, depends on how you intend on using the photos. Are they full-page ads or just snapshot or thumbs? The Rebel and kit lens should be adequate for most of the time.
A good pro is going to have good equipment. So, I would expect good photos. It is easy to hire him/her and forget about it. I have done lots of real estate photos in the past. My aunt and uncle were realtors and home builders.
