Canon SL2 (200D) Viewfinder Photos Come up Blank

Whenever I take a photo using the viewfinder instead of the LCD preview, the photos always show up blank and I can never see them. 

Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere or what could the issue be?

Format card in camera and shift to Green Square Auto. Does it work then?

Reset the camera. But see if you have mirror lock-up on.

Where do I check for the mirror lockup? I went through all of the settings and couldn't find it.

Just to clarify, photos taken using the LCD screen show up no problem. It's just when i switch and try to use the viewfinder where the photos come through blank.

It is custom function 6. In MLU, you have to hit the shutter button twice to take a picture.

And in live view the mirror is already locked up.

I tried all the above and none of it worked.
