Hi, My canon rebel t6 randomly stopped turning on. When I first noticed the problem, it would turn off about ten seconds after I turned it on, and within 5 minutes it was to the point where flipping the "on- switch" didn't do anything at all. I looked all over the internet, fully charged my battery, and even tried a brand new battery. Nothing I have done has helped. Is there any word of advice as to what to do next? Is it time to upgrade, or can I save it?

If you have a spare battery try that in the camera. Also remove the lens and place the body cap on and remove the SD Card from the camera. Will that allow the camera to turn on. Also if you don't have a spare battery just use that same battery and try it with all of the accessories removed. Also is the battery charged fully.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, the batteries are fully charged. The SD card and lens removal is not seeming to make it turn on.

Do you have a spare battery too. Or just 1 battery that came with the camera. Is this the OEM Canon battery or a 3rd Party battery.

I just have the one canon battery that came with the camera. The other battery is a third party battery from Amazon.

Did the problems start after using the 3rd Party battery or was it always working?

I only had the canon battery when it stopped working. I got the 3rd party battery after to see if it was a dead battery issue or a camera body issue. However, the canon one I was using prior to it stopping has always worked.
