Canon R7 got tiny splash of water and now shutter button is stuck on and firing

My R7 has been significantly more wet in the past than this moment. I got home to download my photos and noticed that when I turn my R7 on, it rapidly fires photos and I can't access any of the settings or anything. The buttons won't respond because the camera is firing off 30 fps. What can I do to save my camera?

And then there is the issue of firing "30fps" the minute you turn the camera on. The camera is stuck in some kind of high speed continuous mode. How did that happen? That's more than just a stuck shutter.

Stuck?  As in the button doesn’t move? It sounds like a trip to a Canon Repair Center is needed.

If it was salt water, then there could be something left behind. I would turn the camera upside down and hit the button with a small burst of compressed air.  I do mean SHORT. Turning the camera upside down could allow for dirt or debris to fall out and away from the camera.

if the button is stuck after 2-3 bursts, then a trip to a repair center is needed.  Do not be surprised if they replace the entire top assembly. They replace assemblies to reduce labor costs to the customer.

Perhaps that was the last setting used by the OP. Whether the OP uses a qtip or business card or canned air a little trouble shooting is in order.

No reply from the OP since the initial post.  Hopefully she's talking appropriate action and getting the camera to Canon for inspection.
