Canon R6 Shutter/front dial skipping

I have Canon R6 and suddenly i noticed one day i was scrolling the shutter dial which also is used to navigate the tabs in the menu is skipping while i scrolling. one hard dial scroll should move from one menu tab to the next or in shutter from one speed increment to another but misses or skips intermittently. What could be the cause and how to fix it?

I am having the same problem, mine doesn't work at all anymore and I have tried all the tricks to try to get it to work again. I am at Canons mercy at this point. My R6 really doesn't have that much use on it either. I love my Canon but really disappointed that this even happened let alone isn't covered anymore.
