Hi I've just upgraded from a DLSR 700D to a R50, it comes with the standard 18-45mm STM lens and I got the RF 50mm f/1.8 STM as part of a deal too.
What are some good tips or advice to start with as I've never used a mirrorless camera before.
Is the shooting process much different?
Are there some settings I need to dial in or should change before I start?
Is the standard 18-45mm lens any good?
Should I get a zoom lens if I'm shooting wildlife?
I'll mainly be taking it out on hikes but I'm hoping it will be ok for everyday use too.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

h1awke,
)1 Download a copy of your User Manual in pdf format. It will make your life a whole lot easier when searching for answers to specific questions.
2) There are tons of videos online about How to setup the Canon R50.
3) Yeah, you probably will need a zoom lens if you want to shoot wildlife.
4) if you still have some EF lenses from your 700D, you can still use them if you get an EOS EF-R adapter. They run about $120.
