I'm not sure what you mean by your last sentence.

The EOS R5, when set to record video in the higher quality and resolution settings can generate a lot of heat.  This isn't an issue if you're using the camera where you acquire shorter clips (think of short films, music videos or other types of productions).  Versus an event where you need to capture long runs of footage.

The EOS R5 C has fans and vents like Canon's other cinema cameras.  That reduces internal temperatures and allows them to be used in more types of video work.  To include long runs of continuous footage.

Camera: EOS 5D IV, EF 50mm f/1.2L, EF 135mm f/2L

Hi Emence44,

If you need to record high quality 4k or 8K video for any durations longer than 3-5 min at a time, then the R5 is not the right camera for your needs.  The R5 C as Ricky pointed out has a fan and is designed for extended duration / continuous 4k / 8k recording.

Another option for the R5 is recording to an external recorder such as the Atmos Ninja V+ or Ultra, but if you want to record internally, the R5 C would be a better choice.
