What is the wi-fi button on the side of the camera do? I've looked through the manual, and on page 26 it shows the button and identifies it as number (7). On page 27 number (7) says Wi-Fi button. It only refers to the button there and nowhere else.

Perhaps it turns the Wi-Fi transmitter on/off? Try cycling button and see if any display changes.
