The trouble I've been having is that the shutter isn't working in AF mode.
After troubleshooting and the process of elimination, I have narrowed down the problem to one thing – the lens.
When I take the lens off. The shutter works fine.
When I put the lens back on with Manual Focus switched on, the shutter works fine.
When I put the lens back on with Auto Focus switched on, the shutter fails.
Other than sending the lens back or getting it repaired does anyone have any suggestions?

If there is insufficent light then the camera will be unable to focus and depending on how the camera is set can prevent the shutter from firing. Try again in good light, preferably outdoors in daylight.

I've done that several times.
No change.
Thanks for replying.
