Hello guys and thanks,
Some of the videos I record with the R10 won't play on any software (VLC, BS player, windows media player) on my laptop (Dell Inspiron 3543, windows 10).
Any solution or even an explanation to why this happens?
Appreciate the help 🙂

Here is one of many articles explaining MRL files and how VLC uses them.
https://www.pcwebopaedia.com/laptops/info/vlc-is-unable-to-open-mrl-file/
You can do a web search for "mrl files" and see lots.
I did see in this article that an old or bad VLC install can be a culprit. Uninstall VLC on your computer and install the latest version.
What I was telling you to do is just take the.mp4 file, put it on your desktop and rename it very simply....like "testfile.mp4" (without the quotation marks) and see if it opens. Also try opening it with a different app, not VLC. The whole MLC thing is kind of puzzling to me.
Using dashes, underscores and other non-forbidden characters in a file name isn't the issue here. I just like putting a simple name on a test file.
A Path Name shows the path through the directory structure to where a file is. "MVL.111" is not a path name. It's a file name of a file VLC uses, again confusing to me.
