Man! You've got to be a serious Canon Fanboy to need one of those! (Okay, I'm pretty bad... I've got Canon straps, fanny pack, lens cloths, calendars and more... but mostly from my CPS membership ).
I agree... it looks to take either AAA or AA batteries. You can buy rechargealbe versions of those. I use them in Speedlights and some other accessories. They give faster recycling and last longer than AA alkalines, at least they when they are fairly new. Cost more than alkalines initially, but are good for any number of recharges, so save money in the long run.
