I have a Canon EOS 6D Mark II. I bought a Godox TT600 Speedlite flash along with the trigger Godox x2t.
when I do off-camera flash , it won’t allow me to go higher then 1/200th of a sync speed. How can I get it to do HSS

Hi OP, does the speedlite support high speed sync when off camera and on camera. Also the Flash sync speed is 1/180th. So the camera shouldn't allow you to go faster than 1/180th when a speedlite is being used.

So the Speedlite Flash, Godox TT600, which has HSS capabilities. I have a flash trigger, the X2T. When I try to use the Godox TT600 off-camera, it wont allow me to go faster then 1/180th...I want to be able to work HSS in higher speeds so I can work on outdoor daylight portrait photography.

Can HSS be set on the flash trigger.

On the packaging box, it says 'TTL Control" and "1/8000s Sync speed" along with other features.
On the trigger, I click "menu" which brings mean to Sync. In the sync menu there is the option/symbol for HSS (it is the zigzag arrow pointing down with the H). So if this is what you are asking, then Yes it can be set on the flash trigger.

Yes you would need to go into the speedlite or flash trigger's menu system to enable HSS. Or the camera won't allow a shutter speed faster than 1/180th sec. Also note the guide number of your speedlite will go down when HSS is used. The speedlite has to fire multiple times during the exposure.

I'm looking at the TT600 flash in my hand. I click on the HSS Icon (zigzag arrow pointing down next to the H). It is light on on the flash. I have it clicked on the trigger. The moment I auto-focus to expose the camera on Manual mode, it sets to 1/180th. I don't know where I'm going wrong with this process.

Since your using a flash trigger the flash trigger needs to be set to HSS not the remote speedlite.

I tried setting the flash trigger to HSS only. I tried setting the flash trigger and speedlite to HSS together. I tried setting just the flash to HSS only, and not the flash. I tried all 3 variables and Nothing works. Every time I go to focus before I expose, it resets to 1/180th and exposes. Not sure what to do with the speedlite and flash trigger at this point

Will HSS work with the speedlite mounted on the camera. You may have come across an incompatibility between the 3rd party flash system and the camera.
