Canon C50 Gyro data with non RF lens

Good day all, Does anyone know If the Canon C50 will record Gyro data with a non RF lens? Im using a Laowa 10mm for real estate videos, and I'm trying to stabilize in Gyroflow. Unfortunately, nothing seems to work. Gyroflow says there is no Gyro data at all. I'm running the developer version, and I'm not sure if the camera is writing any gyro data at all?

Greetings bigE7218,

I apologize but we are limited to troubleshooting third party lenses and we only have information on functionality and compatibility on products manufactured by Canon. Canon does not test third party lenses on our Canon cameras, so we are unable to confirm whether the lens is fully compatible. We would suggest on contacting the developer of the Gyroflow for further troubleshooting.

Good afternoon and thank you for your responce, do we know if the Canon C50's ability to write gyro data to its files is dependent on the lenses it uses? When using the Canon EF-RF lens converter, I am unable to detect any gyro meta data embedded.

Hello bigE7218,

While I do not have any official word on this from Canon specifically, I do see that In order to stabilize the videos correctly in Gyroflow, all internal stabilization in camera must be disabled. This includes Lens IS (if applicable), Digital IS and IBIS (if applicable). This also does appear to be somewhat lens specific on whether it will work automatically. This is all information based on what Gyroflow has determined. Again, this is not listed in any Canon literature or specifications for the EOS C50. As NatalyaP mentioned, you may want to reach out to them directly for further assistance.
