Cannon 600d flash always shown as busy

I have no clue as to why my cannon 600d’s in built flash is always shown as busy. Is it something with the settings or is it something wrong with the camera itself.

It could be a fault in the electronics of the flash or even a poor battery that doesn't have sufficient power to recharge the flash.
