Greetings to everyone in this forum.
¿Could a kind soul confirm if the Canon EOS 90D outputs 4:2:2 10-bit video externally? If not, ¿does it output 8 bit 4:2:2?
I currently own a Canon EOS 90D and I see conflicting information on this issue. Canon's official webpage states this information as official but I haven't been able to find a way to confirm this. Some websites state that the camera only outputs 10 bit video when using the HDR photo preview mode.
Any iinsights would be very valuable, since information regarding this topic is scarce.
Thanks in advance

Strangely the manual doesn't offer any specifics. There is only mention of YCrCb 4:2:0 in the manual. Then in the HDMI out section, just says it's a clean signal. No chroma subsampling or other details given.
I can feel your frustration. Many vendors to this day do not document these important specs for all their gear. One really has to wonder why.
Do you have access to an external recorder that would display info about the HDMI signal? That's probably your best bet.
