Bypassing the 30m shooting limit while livestreaming/Shooting with the Canon R10 HDR Movie Mode

Hi all,

I have a canon R10 that I use for livestreaming & recording videos using OBS. Typically I shoot in 1080p 50fps and utilise the HDMI output trick (switching hdmi display to both camera and monitor screen) to bypass the 30 minute shooting limit that most canon's have. My issue lies within switching to HDR movie shooting mode, suddenly I can't shoot past 30 minutes and the HDMI output option is not available.

Are there any solutions to this issue? HDR retains a considerable amount of more detail.

No work around   Use an external recording device with an external microphone.

Why don’t you record in 4K?  If this is accurate, you can get up to 120 minutes record time.
